Lotus Flower Runners Won't Stop Til They've Got Enough!
Lotus Flower Runners are running like Forest Gump until they have raised enough money to pay for an Anganwadi (Kindergarten) in remote, rural Ladakh, India. The Kindergartens are desperately needed as a safe place for children to be introduced to early years education while parents labour in the fields. Many children are otherwise left at home to fend for themselves, sometimes tied to beds, or looked after by siblings.
So far the runners have raised more than £7,000 and hope to complete the £10,000 target by triumphing at the Hertfordshire Half Marathon on 19th November, followed by the famous Hogs Back Road Race on 10th December.
