Fond Farewell from LFT Friends
Along life's bumpy way we meet some people who change our lives forever, as we try to help others here at Lotus Flower Trust HQ. It is very sad when these people who have made a difference by offering their kindness, generosity and talents over many years pass away, but these gifts do live on and we will always be grateful for their valued friendship and support.
Today we say farewell to our valued Trustee and friend John Wilbourn, 82, above, who recently passed away, after years of supporting LFT with his expertise and experience in the charity and education field. John was a long-term friend who will be much missed. We are so grateful for his generosity and commitment to helping others.
We also sadly say goodbye to our friend and talented Photographer Philip Dean, 69, pictured below, who died after brave fight with cancer. Many of the iconic photographs you have seen in our newsletters and on our website over the years are his. We are so grateful to Philip for all his work and love for the charity. His kindness lives on in the happy smiling portraits of the many children he photographed.
"In years to come, it will not matter what clothes I wore, what car I drove, or how much I earned. But it will matter that I made a difference to the life of a child." Anon
John and the LFT Team.
