The Trust was asked to fund the extension of Sri Ram Vidya Mandir School in Taluka, near Almora in Uttarakhand. Some 200 poor children, aged 3 to 16 years, now attend this wonderful school. However 90 percent of these children are from families which are well below the poverty line and most struggle to pay the meagre school fees which cover staff salaries.

In order to increase the number of pupils who attend, the school management team have asked us to help source a bus to help collect, educate and take home many more village children who are unable to attend. This would in turn help to cover some of the staff salaries. The school is also hoping to raise funds to build an indoor assembly room at an approximate cost of £65,000.
